 y to improve your orienteering skills in a social way without the pressure
  of competition. Taking place seven times a year (Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/May/Sep/
 Oct)\, club coaches put on sessions for orienteers\, no matter your age or
  level. Everyone is welcome!\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nRegistration opens i
 n August 2026\n\n\nRegistration closes\nMidnight\, Tuesday 1 September 202
 6\n\n\nStart Times\nArrive 10am for registration. Coaching takes place 10.
 15am to 12.15pm.\n\nControl gathering 12.15pm to 12.45pm. Social of shared
  packed lunch takes place afterwards 12.45pm to 2pm.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 Club
  Meets are FREE for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland as well
  as O-Play and TD1/2 Juniors.\n\nNon-members are also welcome to attend an
 y of our activities and events but there is a £5 fee per person for this 
 activity. After attending three orienteering events\, people must join a c

 ering or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Ori
 enteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this ev
 ent\, but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For
  example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or da
 mage property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orie

 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Groups will be organised into people with the sa
 me level of technical ability\, each having a dedicated coach:\n⚪🟡 Te
 chnical Difficulty (TD) 1 and 2 (White and Yellow) Easy courses with all c
 ontrols mostly on linear features such as paths\, walls and streams. Suita
 ble for P4 children and above and adult newcomers who want a gentle introd
 uction to orienteering.\n🟠 TD 3 (Orange) Courses use basic use of a com
 pass and route choice. Ideal for novice orienteers or young juniors with e
 xperience (ideally aged 10 and above).\n🟢🔵🟤 TD4 and 5 (Lt Green\,
  Green\, Blue and Brown) Challenging navigation with route choice and usin
 g more contour and point features suitable for experienced juniors and adu
 lts.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If the 
 weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well 
 as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be st
 ationary\, so layer up – bring along a hat and gloves to keep comfortabl
 e. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach present or clos
 e by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe keeping of t
 he kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, so please leave any valuable
 s in the car. All should carry whistles. Bring a compass if you use and ha
 ve one. Some base plate and thumb compasses will be available to borrow an
