 elfast\, BT9 5BW\n\n\nEvent Format\nClub Meet\, Coaching and Social. A wa
 y to improve your orienteering skills in a social way without the pressure
  of competition. Taking place every 2nd Saturday of the month (except July
 \, August and December)\, club coaches put on sessions for orienteers\, no
  matter your age or level. Everyone is welcome!\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nR

 ree House\, a short walk from the carpark.\nCoaching takes place 10.30am t
 o 12pm. Control gathering 12pm to 12.30pm. Social of shared packed lunch t
 akes place afterwards 12.30pm to 2pm. An introductory session for QUB (mos
 tly international) students will follow\, so please do hang around and cha
 t to the students over lunch. All club members are very welcome to remain 
 after lunch and participate in a FUN sprint relay as a culmination of the 
 introductory session for the students. (The control sites will be differen
 t to those used for the club meet.)\n\n\nPrice\n💰 Club Meets are free f
 or members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland as well as O-Play and TD
 1/2 Juniors. Non-members are also welcome to attend any of our activities 
 and events but there is a £3 fee for this activity.\nAfter attending thre
 e orienteering events\, people must join a club so they are insured.  Fro
 m 1 September 2024\, membership is only £4 for juniors (up to 20 years ol
 d)\, £8 for young adults (up to £25)\, £10 for seniors and £20 for fam

 mmary\nThis is excellent sprint terrain\, so the training will be focused

 4.\n\n\nNotes/Courses\n👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Groups will be organised 
 into people with the same level of technical ability\, each having a dedic
 ated coach:\nO-Play - for children in P3 and under\, accompanied by their 
 parents.\n⚪🟡 Technical Difficulty (TD) 1 and 2 (White and Yellow) Eas
 y courses with all controls mostly on linear features such as paths\, wall
 s and streams. Suitable for P4 children and above and adult newcomers who 
 want a gentle introduction to orienteering.\n🟠 TD 3 (Orange) Courses us
 e basic use of a compass and route choice. Ideal for novice orienteers or 
 young juniors with experience (ideally aged 10 and above). On this occasio
 n all groups will be training on TD3 terrain\, with the focus for experien
 ed orienteers on making fast decisions.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 On
  this occasion full body cover NOT is mandatory. Shorts and singlets are p
 ermissible. However If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket 
 will be mandatory. As well as times of exercise there will be periods of c
 oaching when you will be stationary\, so layer up – bring along a hat an
 d gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point w
 ith a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsibl
 e for the safe keeping of the kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, s
 o please leave any valuables in the car. On this occasion whistles are not
  mandatory.\n\nBring a compass if you use and have one. Some base plate an
 d thumb compasses will be available to borrow and try out.\n\nIf you have 
 your own dibber\, please bring it for a special exercise we have :) Dibber
 s can be borrowed if you don't have one.\n\n\nParking\nParking will be at
