InstructionsThe June Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series gets underway at the lovely Antrim Castle Gardens. Starts are 6:45-7:30pm.
Entry fee £7 adult, £5 adult member, £4 Junior non-member, £3 Junior / Student / Unwaged, free Adults going with a Junior.
Online entry closes midnight Sunday, but is not essential – just turn up on the night.
The Long course is about 4k as the crow flies but with lots of route choice the challenge laid down is - Can you do it around 5k? The 2.5k Short course has less complex route choice and takes you through the nicest parts of the gardens.
1. The courses close at 20:30.
2. There are a number of gates which may or may not be closed/locked - these impassible boundaries are marked on the map as pink lines (use of these gates will not be a good route choice!).
3. Crossing the main road, canal, ponds and river is strictly prohibited.
4. Vegetation is getting high so if you intend to take short cuts off paths, full leg cover is advised.
DirectionsCar parking is NOT at the Antrim Forum but at Clotworthy House where registration will take place at the Mobile Orienteering Office - red and white van. This can often be full so the best alternative parking is in the Central (Castle Mall) Car Park on the opposite side of road to the Gardens.
Turn off A6 (Dublin Road) at traffic lights onto Castle Way. The car park is accessed by turning left and going through underpass.
