|Organiser||Ian Jamison (e-mail)|
|Planner||Michael Murphy (e-mail)|
InstructionsWe are at the Valley Park situated around the Valley Leisure Centre. Meet at the lower car park (see directions below). Registration will be at the MOO (Mobile Orienteering Office - a converted chip van).
Registration is from 18.30. First Start 19.00. Last Start 19.45. Courses close 20.30.
Please note that if you pre-enter, you can pick up your control descriptions and proceed directly to the start. If you pre-enter and are hiring a dibber, you can collect it from the MOO. Otherwise, complete the registration form at the MOO and then enter on the night. For safety reasons, please give your name, dibber number and course to the marshal at the Start.
New to the sport? Please ask at Registration and someone will be happy to give you advice needed to get started.
Public Toilets (portakabins) are available beside the nearby pavilion.
If you are bringing a group, please let us know in advance as it makes things easier on the night.
There will be two courses available, the (Long 4.1km 17 controls) and the (Short 2.7km 13 controls). The area is generally flat so courses are a little longer than usual to ensure you get value for money.
The nettles have thrived on the recent warm and wet weather so full leg cover is strongly recommended. Guardians of young children should note there is a large pond in the area.
We have plenty more coaching available this week. I believe there may be a few more cones out, but rumours that there will be more than on the M6 in Birmingham are unfounded. Graeme will be looking after newcomers, and for the more experienced he will be looking at navigation with a shortish corridor course to help practice your skills for those who wish.
The Valley Park is popular with dog-walkers and others accessing the play park and pitches so please watch out for them and give way to them.
There's also the V36 adventure playground if your young ones have any energy left after their run!
DirectionsThe Valley Leisure Centre is in Newtownabbey, just North of Belfast. If coming from the A2 Shore Road, follow road signs for the Abbey Centre and the Valley Leisure Centre.
Meet at the lower car park, with access off Church Road through gates opposite a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

SocialThe finish area for the event is a fantastic assembly area so if the sun is out why not consider a picnic. If you run early you can sit on the steps and watch everyone else finish whilst scoffing your banana.
The coffee shop in the Leisure Centre is closed in evening but if you are peckish there is a KFC opposite the eastern entrance to the park. See you there about 8 - 8.30pm!
Next big social is the weekend at Tollymore. All welcome to join us even if not yet a member of LVO or a member of another club. Check out info on fixtures in the LVO site.
ResultsThe WEE Series will now be promoted as fun training activities rather than competitive events, and as such, no results will be published online.
