Instructions

We are in Ormeau Park (1) for the first of the WEE series of 2017. Forget BREXIT and elections for one evening and enjoy the beauty and grandeur of Ormeau Park.

Registration will be at the MOO,(that is a white van if you have not been before) from 6.30pm, starts from 7-7.45pm and courses closing at 8.30.pm. The start and finish are adjacent to Ozone car park.

Please note that if you pre-enter, you can pick up your control descriptions and proceed directly to the start. If you pre-enter and are hiring a dibber, you can collect it from the MOO. Otherwise, complete the registration form at the MOO and then enter on the night. For safety reasons, please give your name, dibber number and course to the marshal at the Start.

If you are bringing a group, please let us know in advance as it makes things easier on the night.

As always there will be two courses available, called the (Long -3.2 km) and the (Short 1.8 km). As these distances are measured as the crow flies, and you are hardly a crow, the distances for your route will be a bit longer, especially if you tend to wander.

Please watch out for other park users and try not to knock them down in your enthusiasm to get to that next control!

When planning the course there were not many nettles around, but they grow fast at this time of year! Leg cover is advised for the long course. The short course avoids the nettles!

If you have a poor run or have a complaint to make, hugs can be provided back at the MOO, but please shower first. If you have any positive comments after your run/walk, I will be happy to speak to you.

Enjoy
Shaun

If it is your first time, there are always plenty of people on hand to help you get started.
