Post-Event Report

The post-event report has not yet been added by the event organiser...

Instructions

The second event of the June Wee series is located in the University of Ulster Jordanstown Campus. This is a brand new area mapped by Steven Gilmore which will be completely new to most orienteers.
UUJ is the largest of a number of University of Ulster campuses and is home to the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland , a partnership between the University and Sport Northern Ireland, and most of Northern Ireland's leading athletes train here at their impressive facilities.

The Long course will be approximately 3.8Km and the Short about 2.3Km. The course will have some ‘urban’ sections as well as some open grassland and playing field areas. The courses are designed to avoid the entry and exit roads but especially for young orienteers please be aware that there will be some traffic within the university campus.

There is an exit fee for the car parks so if you arrive before 7pm (please do as this will make it easier for us) you will have to pay 80p at one of the ticket machines before you can exit. The registration at the MOO (chip van) will be located at one of the smaller car parks which will be signposted from both entrances.
It is this one on Google Maps!

Registration will be from 6.30pm, starts from 6.45 ish -7.45pm and courses will close at 8.30.pm Please note that if you pre-enter,you can pick up your control descriptions and proceed directly to the start. If you pre-enter and are hiring a dibber, you can collect it from the MOO. Otherwise, complete the registration form at the MOO and then enter on the night. For safety reasons, please give your name, dibber number and course to the marshal at the Start. If you are bringing a group, please let us know in advance as it speeds things up on the night.

If this is your first event, don't worry - there will be plenty of people about to help you get started (and finished if needs be :).

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday night!
