Congratulations to all those who turned up and enjoyed excellent courses set by Jack O'Dwyer-Henry, one of our junior club members! Well done, too, to all those who collected prizes for winning, taking part or contributing to the whole WEE Series. Although the summer WEE have now finished, Wednesday evening orienteering fixes continue - in Sep and Oct there will be coaching for all standards organised by Greg McCann and Philip and Helen Baxter - details are on the main club site. All are welcome (members and non-members) to come and get in a bit of practice under the watchful eye of our club coaches. Then in Nov and Dec the WENT night series will take place in and around Belfast and Hillsborough - details will follow via the main club site.
Some may have noticed that the photographer this week was not quite who they thought he was - Nicholas was visiting from the USA and stepped in to help out. As usual, if there are pictures that you would like removed, let Philip know.
InstructionsOnce again the WEE Series ends in the fantastic environment of Sir Thomas and lady Dixon Park on the Upper Malone Road in Belfast. Shaun Henry has produced great looking courses - a Long at 3.4km and a Short at 1.8km - so the running should be fast and furious.
As this is the last of the Summer Series, LVO will be handing out the prizes for each of the 3 monthly leagues. Hopefully all the prize winners will be there to accept their rewards and to thank all the planners and organisers who have put the 13 WEEs together. As an added bonus there will be hot dogs for all at the prize giving.
As usual entering on line before the Monday evening deadline is the best value as well as being a great help to the MOO operators on the evening. Don't worry if you haven't pre-entered, just turn up and enter on the night. Please let the organiser know if you are planning to bring a group so that extra maps can be printed.
DirectionsWe will be using the Upper Car Park which is off the Upper Malone Road beyond the turning onto Upper Dunmurry Lane if driving from Belfast.
