Sporteering is coming soon to Wednesday Evening Skills Training! You will need an Andriod or Iphone with GPS locating function. Since you will need to carry your phone, you might like to acquire an armband carrier. Make sure you can still touch the screen when the phone is in the carrier. Running in the snow is great! I had a lovely run in dry snow on Barnett Demesne on Wednesday. With the event at Drum Manor being cancelled, is anyone up for a run out on Barnetts on Saturday? After a warm-up we will do a ā€œFartlek runā€. Score Training – Hillsborough Forest – Sunday 21st January

Our third Score training session. We’re meeting in the main forest car park, Ā£2 a map, register from 1:30pm ready for a 2:00pm start. Newcomers and beginners are very welcome, and coaches will be there to keep you right too. There is an area of the park that is Out Of Bounds. Permission has now been received for WENT 2 in Musgrave Park tomorrow (8 Nov). 28 runners enjoyed playing SnookerO in Ormeau last week – come and join them this week in the smaller (but more intricate) Musgrave Park. Beat the Street is Coming!

You may have heard of Beat the Street which came to the greater Belfast area last autumn. Itā€™s coming back again this year and LVO have formed a partnership with Beat the Street to encourage active participation with a grant from Active Belfast. So what exactly is Beat the Street? It could be best described to an orienteer as a gigantic semi-permanent urban score course with electronic punching.
