Lagan Valley Orienteers Autumn Trophy 3 is this Saturday 27th October at the National Trust site on Divis and Black Mountain, just above Belfast. Starts will be from 11:30 am until 1 pm, with parking and registration by the cafe on the road towards the masts. The LVO Club Championship will be run at NI Colour Series 4 in Garvagh on Saturday 25th August 2018. For details, see the North West Orienteering Club website here. Colour courses have been allocated to each age class. The popular WEE series returns in 2018 to the competitive format of Long and Short courses with handicapped results and league tables.  The first of which will be in Ormeau Park.  Monthly prizes for league winners and runners up. As well as a midweek leg stretch and bit of craic we like to use the WEEs to introduce, train and bring on new organisers and planners. Hi everyone. We’re looking forward to seeing a good turnout at Meelmore tomorrow. Don’t forget we’re doing a kit check at the Start so make sure you have you waterproof, hat and whistle. The ground will be waterlogged and quite slippery so boots or shoes with good grip are recommended. There’s free parking and showers so I hope lots of you will use the lovely, warm café too.

Our third Score training session. We’re meeting in the main forest car park, £2 a map, register from 1:30pm ready for a 2:00pm start. Newcomers and beginners are very welcome, and coaches will be there to keep you right too. There is an area of the park that is Out Of Bounds. If you are seen in this area it is -150 points, we will have people checking. Another area has matting down for ground works please stay off this area, you can go round it. LVO Night Score at Tollymore National Outdoor Centre. There will be two courses on offer to cater for novices and the experienced alike. Cost – the event will be free for those attending the Christmas dinner otherwise £2 for Score event only. Time – Registration will be open from 4.15pm. Start at 5pm. Finish and courses close at 6pm.
