Connswater Community Greenway Celebrations

Our satellite hub, Urban-O Explorers Belfast, are delighted to be at Orangefield Park this Sunday, 1pm-4pm.  We’re offering short orienteering loops, family-friendly & perfect for beginners to try out our wonderful sport.  This is all part of the Greenway Celebrations. There are so many activities going on in the park, it’s sure to be a fun afternoon out.  Bring the kids, the grandkids, the neighbours……and your sense of adventure! Make sure to like the hub Facebook page to keep up to date.  And if you’re interested in being involved, come on down to see what we get up to 🙂

Thank you :)

Folks I want to say a massive thank you to all club members who are supporting our satellite hubs, particularly in the past week.   Urban-O Explorers Belfast on Sunday in Victoria Park had a massive turnout of families, over 100 Explorers.  Our biggest ever!  David, Olivia, Daphne, Andrew and Simon (FERMO) ran things from beside an ice cream stall – excellent planning there 🙂 Tollymore Orienteers Summer Series on Monday evenings has grown a Light Green course now.  Add that to the Orange & Yellow already on offer, and you’re spoiled for choice.  “It really was a proper Light Green” someone said!!!!  Read More …

Looking for Hub Help!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some additional help for our hubs!  We have a busy programme, and turns out a good few of our regulars are away, so some extra hands on deck would be great! You don’t need to be a coach, or even have oodles of experience!  The courses are planned.  I’m looking for a couple of people happy to volunteer for an hour or so on the day – registration sheets / chats / encouragement / using dibbers / working the miniprinter.  I was recently told, “It’s actually quite fun isn’t it”.  Yes it is! Next up Read More …

Happy World Orienteering Day

Yes 23rd May is World Orienteering Day.  So exciting!!  Check out the BBC showing us how to orienteer………..kinda…………not sure why there’s a child in a burrow but maybe someone can help me understand that! So how do you get involved?  Come along to any of our sessions.  No need to be a club member, just check out the details online, arrive and tell them you’re new, and we’ll help you get started (and finished if necessary). World Orienteering Day kicks off with Stormont Estate this evening 6:30pm (details here).  Print out a parking permit (available from the link) if you want Read More …

WEE Series Volunteers

With the WEE Series nearly here (hooray!) we could do with a lot of on-the-night volunteers.  You will still get to run!  Please check out the volunteer roster.  If we all do a wee bit (WEE bit, sorry), well then 2018 will be another great WEE Series.  All training provided, it’s a lot of fun!  Email   Here’s the link to the roster:
