Wednesday Evening Training

Bye Bye WEE Seriesūüėü, Hello Wednesday Evening Training¬†ūü§ó Wednesdays in September are taking shape, a mixture of running training and skills training. Nice and informal! Current plan is: 5th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 12th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) 19th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 26th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) Session 1 will be led by Susan. Connswater Community Greenway Celebrations

Our satellite hub,¬†Urban-O Explorers Belfast, are delighted to be at Orangefield Park this Sunday, 1pm-4pm.¬† We’re offering short orienteering loops, family-friendly & perfect for beginners to try out our wonderful sport.¬† This is all part of the Greenway Celebrations. There are so many activities going on in the park, it’s sure to be a fun afternoon out.¬† Bring the kids, the grandkids, the neighbours……and your sense of adventure! Folks I want to say a massive thank you to all club members who are supporting our satellite hubs, particularly in the past week.¬†¬† Urban-O Explorers Belfast¬†on Sunday in Victoria Park had a massive turnout of families, over 100 Explorers.¬† Our biggest ever!¬† David, Olivia, Daphne, Andrew and Simon (FERMO) ran things from beside an ice cream stall – excellent planning there ūüôā Tollymore Orienteers¬†Summer Series on Monday evenings has grown a Light Green course now.¬† Add that to the Orange & Yellow already on offer, and you’re spoiled for choice.¬† “It really was a proper Light Green” someone said!!!!¬† Read More …

Looking for Hub Help!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some additional help for our hubs!¬† We have a busy programme, and turns out a good few of our regulars are away, so some extra hands on deck would be great! You don’t need to be a coach, or even have oodles of experience!¬† The courses are planned.¬† I’m looking for a couple of people happy to volunteer for an hour or so on the day – registration sheets / chats / encouragement / using dibbers / working the miniprinter.¬† I was recently told, “It’s actually quite fun isn’t it”.¬† Yes it is!
