LVO Relay Teams for Irish Championships

We have a cracking TEN teams for IOC 2024. Hosted by our friends in WEGO, and based around Lough Ree, the relays follow 3 days of individual competition. A wonderful test for tired legs (and tired brains), we certainly are one of the largest clubs and one of the loudest on the run-in for ALL our teams ๐Ÿ™‚

A massive GOOD LUCK to all out JK relay teams – and as if that’s not enough, we have 4 juniors running in Irish Junior Squad teams too. What a way to round out 4 days of Easter competition. Olivia will be looking after the teams on the weekend itself – seek her out, claim your bib, check for any team changes etc etc ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much everyone for putting your hand up for a JK Relay run at Easter time. We have loads of teams. Tollymore Festival of Orienteering 2022

A WEE reminder

Tonight is the deadline to pre-enter for the first WEE of the season. It is at Hillsborough forest with starts from 6.30pm. A large group of Scandinavian O-tourists are testing it out on Tuesday for us. Both days results will be unavailable, so you can see how you fare against them. We are delighted to announce we have a mighty EIGHT relay teams for the Irish Championships this coming weekend in Killarney. Good luck to everyone travelling to the weekend. We cannot wait!! Results will be online http://www.orienteering.ie/results Susan & Olivia co-ordinate the relay teams, so you’ll need to come find them on the weekend to get bib numbers, check your team, and your running order. Good Luck to our JK gang

The JK is one of the biggest UK orienteering competitions, always held over the Easter weekend. 4 days of fun. This year it’s in South Wales and there’s a merry wee band heading over from LVO. Relays are on the Monday and we have 4 club teams entered, plus 2 orienteers perched on the reserve bench. On top of that, we have orienteers on Irish Junior Squad teams, and even more running on other club teams. Lots of cheering-on required!!
