Equipment hunt

Can we all please have a rummage through our garages, spare rooms and car boots to see if we can turn up any wayward LVO equipment? You’ll get brownie points for the miniprinter in its blue box, padlock keys, strops, kites or anything else you can find if you bring them along to the Score Training at Crawfordsburn or the Indoor O / Annual Social at Ballyclare.

Travel funding claims and other expenses

It’s the time of year for us all to wrap up against the weather and for the Treasurer to wrap up the Club Accounts for 2021. If you or your kids were selected to compete outside Ireland then please check the travel funding policies on the LVO website (under Resources > Travel Funding) to see what support is available and let me have your claims by the end of this week if you haven’t sent them already. Also, it’s time to wrack your brains for any other expenses that you still need to claim back for 2021. Many thanks folks. Read More …

Equipment Day – Saturday 21st August

This Saturday we’ll be sorting out and cleaning up our club equipment in preparation for a move to new premises. Our Kilwee store has been an ideal facility for many years but all good things come to an end and we are moving to a temporary store at Ballyclare – thank you Wilbert for the use of your shed – while we look for a permanent home. Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if you can only spare an hour or two, between 10.00 and 4.00. If you haven’t been there before you can find directions here, or give Read More …

Tollymore BBQ – Dietary Requirements?

There are a lot of you hungry orienteers looking forward to the barbecue at Saturday’s Tollymore Festival. Please let harrybellni@gmail.com know by Wednesday evening if you have any special dietary requirements and I’ll pass your request on to the caterer. Along with your special requirements, please also let me know what option you originally booked online (adult/child, meat/vegetarian). And remember, entries for the Colour Series event, Camping and Barbecue all close on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 at 20:00.

2019 Accounts

To help keep this year’s AGM as brief as possible, I won’t be going through the Club Accounts or the Treasurer’s Report in detail. If you would like to read the report, which includes the Balance Sheet and Income and Expenditure Account, you can find it online now. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. Harry Bell, Treasurer
