NI Urban League CRAIGAVON SOUTH

After a string of great technical, but physically demanding events you may be looking for something a little easier on the body. Well, you’re in luck! The Urban League returns again next Sunday with a wee dander around the paths of Craigavon South. No big hills to climb, or rocks to cross, no peat cuttings or marshes, but you’ll still need to concentrate on your map reading to figure out the optimum routes. Entries are now open. For event details see the LVO website.

Bank Holiday Monday – Edenvilla Park, Portadown

After a thoroughly enjoyable dander round Donaghadee, thanks to Stephen & Richard, the NI Urban Series caravan returns swiftly to Portadown and to the spiritual home of Orchard County Orienteers – Edenvilla Park, for a double headed Bank Holiday afternoon of fun. Meelmore Maprun Trial

As Queen Steph has mentioned, we would like to carry out a trial of MaprunF/G alongside our event at Meelmore this Saturday. It won’t interrupt any of your runs. The main event is all SI Air ( proper O!! ). All we would like is for quite a few of you to take your phones or Garmin watches around with you as well, so that we can see how well Maprun works in this environment. I know how good the map is, but what we want to see is what sort of tolerance we can get away with on a Read More …
