Volunteering – please read

Evening folks,
It’s quiet on the volunteering front.  Too quiet.  We have so much great orienteering coming up!  Folks this takes volunteers.  If we all do a bit, whatever role you’d like to try, it’ll happen.  If not………….well then events can’t happen.  Simple as.
Some feedback I’ve had is “no-one has asked me to help”.  Don’t worry, you can fire on ahead and volunteer without being asked!  What’s more, it’s so much more fun when that happens. The current roster is in the photos (EDIT – no it’s not – it went blurry!), on each fixture, and on Facebook (LVO Club Discussion Group).  Check it out, then email volunteer@lvo.org.uk
Please note, my role as volunteer coordinator is not to ring round club members to ask them to volunteer.  My role is to keep the roster up to date and process the huge volume of volunteer requests which are clearly going to flood in now 🙂
We’ll always give you help & support, especially if you’re new.  The details of the roles are on our website here https://lvo.org.uk/volunteers/
In particular please look at:
On-the-day help for tomorrow (Belfast Castle) to help Wilbert with Registration, Newcomer Welcome, Download & Collecting Controls
Collecting Controls after the Night Champs at Belvoir
Organiser & Controller for Lisburn Urban
Organiser & Planner for Hillsborough Spring Cup
Controller for Woodburn Spring Cup
One final note.  The volunteer hotline has not stopped entirely.  We’ve hosted some great trainings & events so far this year, all from lovely volunteers, and we’ve got several spots filled for the rest of the year.  Thank you.
