Event Description
The first big event of the year, and it might be a challenge.
Greg and Jonathon have been out braving all the snow and ice on our behalf, planning green, orange and yellow courses for next weekend. It is likely still to be cold, possibly with snow and ice so safety rules will be strictly enforced.
Full body cover, waterproof coat, hat and whistle all compulsory for all competitors. Fell shoes or boots if you’re walking are recommended.
Registration will open at Meelmore Lodge at 12:15 for starts from 12:45 to 2:00. Courses will close at 3:30 sharp and controls will be collected from then so please return to the finish at this time. This is to allow control collectors to get back before dark and still get to pop into the cafe for tea and a bun!
Please car share where possible as parking might be quite tight. There may be sheep on the hillside so strictly no dogs on the course.
We are hoping for a bit of a thaw this week but if conditions don’t improve the event may have to be postponed. Please keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for last minute updates.
